Since I am building my own cabinet, I really wanted some layouts that were my own.
But feel free to use them if you like them.
These are my Mame layouts. I made them in three different formats. 1920x1200 (for 24", 27", 28" and 30" computer monitors) 1680x1050 (for 20" and 22" monitors) and 1366x768 (for most LCD TVs).
Some of them use fonts not included with windows. You can download them below. Just copy them to your windows\fonts folder. All the other fonts used are Arial.

You will have to go into the Mala Layout Editor and change the directory name for the background to where ever you choose to put them. On my computer it is d:\arcade\files\mame\layout\1920 (or 1680 or 1360).
You can see my control panel in the lower left corner. That is set up in Mala as the "Definable 1" region. It shows, for each game, which controls do what. These are all separate .png files I made specific to my control panel. If you make images based on your panel, you can point mala to that folder, and it will show them. If you don't, Mala will just ignore that field and it will simply not be there.
The marquee and screenshots are just standard regions. You can get the pngs from MAWS or KLOV.
I customized the cpanel field. You can download my cpanel pngs below. I only made them for the roms I have. With a decent photo editor, and some ingenuity, it should not be that hard to create your own for other games. Just use one of my images as a template.

These are the console layouts.

As with the mame layouts, the screenshots should be no problem. The cartridges were a little trickier. So you can download the ones I have made below. They use the marquee field in Mala. And again, with a little ingenuity, you should be able to make your own using one of mine as a template.
